Terms of Service

Last updated: March 28, 2026

By accessing or using Lore DB (“the Service”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Lore DB is a knowledge management platform with AI-powered search. You can create, organize, and search documents within libraries, connect via MCP tools, and share knowledge with your team.

2. Accounts

  • You sign in with Google OAuth. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old or have legal guardian consent.
  • We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

3. Your Content

  • Ownership. You retain ownership of content you create and upload to Lore DB. We do not claim ownership of your content.
  • License to us. By uploading content, you grant Lore DB a limited license to store, process, index, and serve your content as needed to operate the Service (including generating embeddings and AI responses).
  • Responsibility. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload the content you add. Do not upload content you do not have permission to share.

4. Community Libraries

Any library owner can publish their library to the community, making it visible and subscribable by all users.

  • Publisher responsibility. When you publish a library, you represent and warrant that you have the right to share all content within it publicly. You are solely responsible for the content you publish. Lore DB does not review or endorse user-published content.
  • Acknowledgment required. Before publishing, you must acknowledge that you are responsible for the content and that it complies with these Terms of Service. This acknowledgment is recorded.
  • Your name is shown. Your name is displayed publicly as the publisher of community libraries you publish. Libraries published by Lore DB administrators are attributed to “Lore DB.”
  • No copyrighted or paywalled content. Do not publish libraries containing content you do not have rights to share publicly, including standards documents, commercial publications, or other copyrighted works.
  • Community reporting. Any user can report a community library they believe violates these terms. Reports are reviewed by Lore DB administrators, who may unpublish the library.
  • Right to remove. Lore DB reserves the right to unpublish any community library at any time, with or without notice, if we determine it violates these terms or applicable law.
  • Subscribing. Any user can subscribe to a published community library, which grants read-only access.
  • No redistribution. Content accessed through community libraries must not be copied, downloaded in bulk, or redistributed outside the Service without explicit permission from the content owner.

For detailed publishing guidelines, see Community Publishing Rules.

  • Respect copyright. Do not upload copyrighted material you do not have rights to share. This includes standards documents (e.g., SS, EN, ISO standards), commercial publications, and other protected works.
  • Freely available content. Community libraries may include freely available public content such as government regulations (ELSÄK-FS, SFS laws) and publicly published guidelines.
  • Paywalled content. Content behind a paywall (such as industry standards) may be stored in your private libraries for internal team use if your organization holds valid licenses. Do not publish paywalled content to community libraries.
  • Takedown requests. If you believe content on Lore DB infringes your copyright, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
