Lore DB uses a flat-rate plan model. Search and Ask AI are included on all plans — no per-query charges.

Plans

Search is always free and unlimited on all plans. Ask AI on the Free plan has a weekly usage limit that resets every Monday.

Managing your plan

Go to Billing (from your profile menu) to see your current plan, usage, and upgrade options. Go to Usage to see a breakdown of your activity over time. To cancel a Pro subscription, use the “Manage subscription” link on the Billing page.

Plan limits

If you reach your weekly Ask AI limit, you’ll see a message with the reset time. If you reach your document or library limit, you’ll be prompted to upgrade. Search always remains available regardless of your plan or usage.

Settings & API Keys

Choosing your AI model

In Settings, you can choose which AI model powers Ask AI and document processing. The available models are configured by your admin. Changing models doesn’t affect your past usage — only future requests use the new model.

Using your own OpenAI API key

If you have your own OpenAI API key, you can add it in Settings. When your key is active, usage is billed directly to your OpenAI account.

Your API key is encrypted before being stored and is never visible after you save it. You’ll see a masked hint (e.g., sk-...cdef) to confirm which key is active.

Removing your API key

Click Remove in the API key section to delete your stored key. You’ll go back to using the system’s API key.
