Yes. Search uses local embeddings and is completely free on all plans, with no usage limits. Only Ask AI (which calls OpenAI for answer generation) has usage limits on the Free plan.
Ask AI stops working until your weekly limit resets (every Monday). Search continues to work. You can upgrade to Pro at any time to remove limits, or add your own OpenAI API key.
You can provide your own OpenAI API key in Settings. This gives you a direct contractual relationship with OpenAI and bypasses all usage limits. Your key is encrypted before storage.
Yes. Pro subscriptions are monthly with no commitment. Cancel from the Billing page and you'll keep access until the end of your billing period.
